The Shelby GT350 is also known as the Cobra, a fitting name for a monster of a car! It’s a Mustang built by Shelby American from 1965 to 1967, then by the Ford Motor Company from 1968 to 1970. The GT350 features Ford’s V8 engine, which primarily made it a darling of the late 1960s! This is it if you’re looking for a classic that literally roars.
Carroll Shelby, who designed the stunning motor, was lauded as a 20th-century motoring genius which is no surprise. Still to this day, Ford’s performance programme on their classics and modern vehicles features some exceptional machinery and engineering.
2 – Ferrari 250 GTO
Produced by Ferrari, the 250 GTO was made from 1962 to 1964, specifically for the FIA’s Group 3 Grand Touring car category. It’s known as the world’s most desirable, legendary motor car, but it’s become so rare that the chances of you driving one are quite unlikely, as only 39 of the race cars were made.
The Ferrari 250 GTO boasts a powerful V12 engine and a beautiful body exterior.
3 – McLaren F1
The McLaren F1 is a body of engineering brilliance and innovation. It went on sale in 1992 and can achieve over 240mph, so it’s safe to say it can reach scarily top speeds! Rowan Atkinson owned a McLaren F1 for several years but sold it for a massive £8 million, despite him crashing it twice and paying an incredible amount to have it repaired!
4 – 1969 Toyota 2000GT
The 2000GT 1969 is acclaimed as Japan’s first supercar, designed with a 5-speed box and a straight 6 7 bearing engine. Like other classic supercars in our top 5 list, the Toyota 1969 2000GT is a limited production front mid-engine, rear-wheel drive model that was extremely popular with 007 James Bond as he got a drop-top.

Another classic chosen by James Bond, the Aston Martin DB5 1964, was featured in Goldfinger – in fact, four were, but the DB5 chassis was the hero car driven swiftly by Sean Connery. It offers no less than an incredible 315 horsepower, giving any driver its full throttle should they be able to handle it.
The DB5 is considered one of the most recognisable cars in film history. Actors Peter Sellers and Beryl Reid also purchased a model of the 1960 DB5, and many more have been seen driving the luxurious, rare vehicle.
